Sparta Inc

Founded in 1979, SPARTA is a systems engineering and advanced technology company. We are dedicated to serving our nation's needs within our core business areas of strategic defense and offense systems, tactical weapons systems, space systems, and information systems. Our innovations, capabilities, and mastery in these areas have enhanced our reputation and our customers' confidence in our expertise.

Sparta has been involved in the DNSSEC deployment initiative since its the program's inception. Sparta operates the secondary for the SNIP zone dnsops.gov as well as a secure delegation sparta.dnsops.biz.

Sparta has developed a set of tools to aid DNS administrators in deployment and maintenance of DNSSEC. The tools are open source and available for download. The tools are a mix of DNSSEC administration tools and debuging tools. Some of the tools require perl, and the necessary modules are identified in the download package.

How are the Sparta tools used on the SNIP?

The SNIP administrators (both at Sparta and NIST) use the dnssec-tools package for administration of their zones. The dnssec-tools were also used in sections of the NIST/Sparta DNSSEC training workshops.
